Is it better to do yoga at home or at a studio?
Whether you choose to do yoga in the comfort of your own home, or in a studio setting, this is entirely down to your own personal preference. While some yogis prefer practicing solo in a familiar environment, some prefer the sense of camaraderie and motivation of being in an instructor-led group. However, if you're looking to attend a yoga class at a studio, our exclusive 'back to studio' collection offers a selection of products for a variety of yoga styles. Whether you're looking to expand your yoga mat collection, or you're looking to purchase a yoga prop to help you tackle a challenging pose, shop our collection of yoga studio props.

What does a yoga class involve?
Though the content and nature of a class is down to the individual instructor, there are a few common themes that you can expect from attending a yoga session. Starting with awareness of the breath and some warm-ups (which can also be different depending on the instructor) a sequence of poses will follow. Meanwhile, the end of the class will focus on led relaxation to help you wind down. Most yoga classes will have a particular theme or focus, which is likely to vary between each session you attend.

How long should a yoga session be?
In general, a yoga session should be around 20-30 minutes in duration, which is the most common length of beginner and mid-level yoga classes. However, more advanced sessions, such as Ashtanga yoga, can last up to 90 minutes. If you're just starting out and practicing yoga alone, we recommend short and regular routines, so 20-minute daily sessions. However, some experienced practitioners prefer longer and more frequent classes, such as two to three one-hour sessions a week.
