My mat is slippery. How can I improve the grip?
The top layer of film needs to be worn off. We recommend cleaning our Sticky mat with a non-scratch sponge and either Yogamatters Mat Cleaner or a homemade mixture of organic detergent and water. Do this after every practice as this will speed up the break-in process. You can also leave the unrolled mat in a place where you will walk over it regularly (in bare feet) such as your bedroom or hallway. -
Can the mat be washed in a machine?
We'd recommend washing it down in the bath/shower instead of machine washing. Alternatively you can wipe it down with a damp cloth and mat cleaner or homemade mixture of organic detergent and water. -
Can you use this mat on carpet?
Yes, our Sticky Yoga Mat can be used on a variety of surfaces, including carpets. If you're concerned about cleaning your mat after use on a carpet - consider investing in a Yogamatters Mat Cleaner. -
