Our Yoga Belt - A Photo Diary

One of the most versatile props in yoga, the belt becomes an extension of yourself, helping you lean deeper into a pose, or hold you gently supported when you need it most. Discover how ours is made, in a process that reflects our philosophy: quality, community, and craftsmanship at every step.

It starts with the weave. Cotton yarn is woven into a dense, flat webbing on traditional looms, tight enough to hold its shape under tension, yet soft enough to be gentle on the skin. The weave has to be even and strong throughout the entire length, since any weak point becomes a point of failure the moment the belt is pulled taut in a stretch.

Once woven, each belt is cut to length and its raw edges are folded and stitched down, preventing fraying with each use and every pull. The metal buckle is then fitted and secured with reinforced stitching at the join, the part of the belt that takes the most repeated strain.

Finishing touches

Throughout the process, hands check what machines can't always catch: the evenness of the weave, the strength of the stitching, the smooth action of the buckle sliding along the fabric. A good yoga belt should hold firm without hesitation, and release just as easily.
