Woven for Rest - Our Chambray Blanket

Our yoga blanket begins as handwoven organic cotton chambray, created on traditional looms by weavers whose skill has been passed down through generations. Every metre takes time. Every thread is placed with intention. Nothing about it is rushed, and nothing about it is anonymous.

We chose organic cotton because it matters, at every stage. From the way it's grown, without harsh chemicals and pesticides, to the way it feels against skin. It's a softer, gentler choice, for the land it comes from and for the person who'll eventually rest their head on it mid-practice.

Chambray has a quiet kind of character. Woven with a coloured warp thread and a white weft, it takes on a soft, slightly heathered tone that shifts subtly depending on the light. Under the hands of a skilled weaver, the loom moves in a steady rhythm: thread over thread, row after row, building fabric slowly and deliberately, the way it's been done for generations.

Once woven, the fabric is checked by hand before it's cut and finished into our yoga blanket,  inspected for consistency, strength, and softness at every stage. It's a fabric built to be lived in: warm without being heavy, breathable enough for restorative poses, sturdy enough to fold, roll, and use again and again.

Crafted with Intention

A yoga blanket touches you more than almost any other prop, whether wrapped around shoulders, folded beneath knees or laid flat for savasana. We wanted that closeness to mean something. Handwoven organic cotton chambray isn't just a fabric choice; it's a quiet reminder that the things closest to us deserve to be made with the most care.
