What are eye pillows used for?
Eye pillows have several purposes, they help to block out unwanted light during meditation but they also provide gentle pressure to help reduce stress, relax, and alleviate pains from eye strain.
How long should you use an eye pillow?
Eye pillows apply a gentle weight and pressure to the eye, whilst this can be relaxing it is best to limit the use of an eye pillow to between 15-30 minutes whilst you meditate or before you go to sleep.
What is inside an eye pillow?
Eye pillows are often filled with natural weighted materials such as dried grains, wheat, or dried beans. They can also sometimes include essential oils or other aromatherapy products to enhance the relaxation aspect and improve your meditative practice.
