What is HOPE's vision?
HOPE’s global offices are united by one vision: “A world where it should never hurt to be a child.”
The Hope Foundation for Street Children (HOPE UK) supports this vision by raising funds and awareness in the UK to sustain life-changing programmes in Kolkata.
Why support HOPE?
Thousands of street-connected children in Kolkata, India, face overwhelming daily challenges that limit their access to education, protection, healthcare, and social inclusion. Many grow up amid extreme poverty, addiction, and neglect, increasing their vulnerability to child labour, early marriage, exploitation, and school dropout.
As India's cities continue to grow, so too does the number of children living on the margins. Millions survive on less than $2.15 a day, forcing many children onto the streets to beg or work in informal labour simply to survive. Without access to education, healthcare, protection, or legal documentation, their futures are at constant risk.
Yoga Garden Party
The Yoga Garden Party takes place on 1 August in support of HOPE, bringing together more than 20 UK and international yoga teachers for a full day of practice, learning, wellbeing, and connection at The Falcon at Castle Ashby, Northamptonshire. All teachers generously volunteer their time to raise vital funds for HOPE.
Organised by HOPE Patron Simon Low and a dedicated volunteer team, the event offers a unique opportunity to practise with leading teachers and practitioners while connecting with a community committed to wellbeing and meaningful change.
Open to all levels, the Yoga Garden Party combines high-quality yoga with the chance to support HOPE. Further information, including booking details are available at The Yoga Garden Party official website
Yoga for HOPE campaign
Each year, yoga teachers around the world unite to support HOPE through fundraising classes and events, held both in person and online throughout the year, with a focus around International Yoga Day in June. On-demand classes are also available for a donation. In 2024, HOPE UK won 'Favourite Yoga Charity' for this campaign at the Om Yoga Awards. Yoga is an integral part of the holistic well-being of the children in HOPE's care in Kolkata and they regularly practise yoga. Find out more: https://thehopefoundation.org.uk/iyd/
