Cleansing set which includes 3 sticks of Palo santo and an Amazonite crystal, packaged in a natural jute drawstring bag.

Palo santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. In Spanish, the name literally means “Holy Wood”. It is part of the citrus family and has sweet notes of pine, mint and lemon. Palo Santo or “Holy Stick” is a natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas and indigenous people of the Andes as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as to get rid of evil spirits and misfortune, and for medicinal purposes.

Amazonite empowers one to search the self and discover one’s own truths and integrity, and to move beyond fear of judgment or confrontation with others to live in alignment with those beliefs and values. It provides the freedom to express one’s thoughts and feelings, and to set strong and clear boundaries, both internally as self-discipline, and externally on what one is willing to experience or in defining personal space.

How To Use Your Palo Santo:

• Light your stick of Palo Santo with a lighter or match

• Hold the stick at 45 degrees pointing the tip down toward the flame. Allow it to burn for up to 1 minute and then blow out

• Move around the space in which you would like to clear the energy. The rich smell will also bring peace and clarity to the moment along with good feelings .

• When finished, place the stick in a fireproof bowl of metal, glass or clay (an abalone shell is traditionally used for this). The glow will end on its own unless you blow on the ember which will keep the smoke going.

Palo Santo sticks are sustainably and ethically sourced from Peru. The sticks are collected from fallen wood that has been aged for 4-10 years, meaning that no trees need to be cut down in order to produce them.

Care Instructions
