International Women’s Day at Yogamatters HQ

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #BalanceForBetter! It’s all about gender balance and equality, which is something that we can definitely get behind! We are big believers that you can be and do whatever you set your mind to whether you’re male or female! At Yogamatters HQ we’re lucky to be surrounded by beautiful and strong women everyday, who all work hard at being the best version of themselves and who believe that they can be whatever they want to be! Get to know some of them a little better here:

Sophie Safrazyan:


Sophie does Key Account Management because she is passionate about making people happy! She is also a yoga teacher and loves being in nature!

Chloe Chivers:


Chloe does Marketing because she loves to inform & inspire. She is also a yoga teacher and has a Prosecco van business!

Emma Jefelt:



Emma is in Marketing because she loves to write and work creatively! She is also a yoga teacher and a dog mum!

Candice Roberts:


Candice does Product Development because she is creative! She is also a yoga teacher and just got back from 3 months in India!

Twanna Doherty:


Twanna is the CEO of Yogamatters! She is passionate about spreading the word about the transformational power of yoga!

Jane Martin:


Jane is our Buyer because she loves all things health and wellness! She is also a mum and loves to travel!

Anneliese Gee:


Anneliese is in accounting because she loves using her mind logistically! She’s also a dog mum and loves to ice skate!

Helen Redfern – & from our Gateshead Office


Helen, our in-house writer, is passionate about the power of words to inform, challenge and inspire. She loves to connect with the women in her world, to empower and be empowered.


Poppy is one of our office doggies! She loves treats and pats and chasing all the pigeons!

Emma Jefelt

Emma is a marketing intern from Denmark at the Yogamatters Head Office. Emma is well traveled and has lived all over the world, she fell in love with yoga when she lived in Nepal and has never looked back. Emma did her yoga teacher training in India in September 2016, she loves teaching, running, all things sustainability and snuggling with her puppy.
