Cork wedge, pocket size

Cork wedge, pocket size
Unavailable
Perfect for carrying around, slip a pair of these into your kit bag (or pocket) for use whilst travelling, or taking to classes.

There are many uses for the wedge including as a prop for your heels in dog pose, and to ease the angle on your wrists in handstands. These miniature versions make a very useful companion to the full size wedge.

The cork is strong and non slip and will not distort under bodyweight or damage floors or toes.

Sold singly - please order 2 if you need a pair!

Very comfortable to use although it would have been better if a little wider. I find my hands slip off the slanting plank but the top bit on this wedge stops the slip.

Now that Mr. Iyengar wants us all to try harder to get our heels on the floor in Adho Mukha Svanasana, these are great for encouraging people who aren't quite there yet; more stable than blocks and good heel width, so students can press down into it and get the leg action right. Mind you, I wanted it for handstands, as I've got an injured wrist; it's OK as I've got little hands, and it does support the whole hand heel, but if it had been a couple of cm wider it would have been perfect. Perhaps my pockets are large, but I was expecting it to be a bit bigger.

I was curious about it - and thought it'd be larger. I bought one.. but would definately recommend that they are bought in twos. So this one's a bit unused.

Some of my students with painful wrists have found these cork wedges really useful for poses such as downdog, as they help relieve the ammount of flexion required through the wrists. They are possibly a bit small for mens hands.
