The brick is hollow to keep the weight down and is made from laminated bamboo - this is probably the nicest yoga brick you will ever see or use! If the cork brick doesn't appeal, this bamboo one probably will. It's a beautiful thing, nicely finished tho the corners are a tiny bit rough and do collect the fluff off my blanket. Despite being hollow, it doesn't flex and easily takes my weight (45kg). It's a new acquisition for myself, but it looks like it will last a good many years of practice.
