See How Yoga Feels

See How Yoga Feels
The experience of practising yoga is an internal one. This is true for all styles of yoga and for beginners right through to advanced students and teachers. Inspired by Vanda Scaravelli, this book was developed as a practical guide. The aim is to give practical help with useful visualisations that can actually support you in the postures. The book is not meant for complete beginners, but once you begin to know the postures it can be used alongside other books and classes to help deepen understanding and enrich your practice. Yoga should be an enjoyable experience. Using this book should be enjoyable too.

As a newly qualified yoge tacher, this book is a fantastic resource which puts into words (& pictures) some concepts and instructions I may otherwise struggle to articulate. The gorgeous illustrations really add to my understanding of asanas and I'll definately be using some of the visualations when I start teaching next week. I particularly like suggestions such as - pretending you have a G-clamp around your back hip and you're in between two panes of glass in Trikonasana. A great book.

This is a completely new and fascinating way to approach communicating what actually goes on inside when we do yoga. Experienced teachers and students should get a lot out of this book. So much yoga instruction is the same that when you do come across a new way to talk about it like this does, it revives your interest in the subject.

This book comes at thinking about the postures from a completely new angle. Many of the ideas, all beautifully expressed with drawings by the author, will change the way you think about an asana and also what it is doing for you. The visual nature of the book means it works for everyone with a basic knowledge of the subject; teachers will find it especially useful becomes of the ideas you can use in your own classes.

A great book. I am simply someone who practice yoga, not a teacher, and this books is a fantastic help for my personnal practice. The vizualisations are simple to understand, easy to remember, and it gives you a direction into the poses. It is also a great way to turn inwards, to listen to the body, beyond the doing of the asanas, which is not always easy outside of classes. I strongly recommend reading it to every one !
