A beautifully written yoga sutra book with lots of heart warming stories. With sutras in Sanskrit and translation. The yoga sutras are hard to understand but Satchdananda makes them easier and relevant to our lives. Full of heart warming stories. One of those books that makes you want to practice more.

I have been practising yoga for several years now and am soon taking a teacher training course with Sally Parkes Yoga. This is one of the books I have to study as part of my training. There are various works/translations of Patanjali's Sutras available but I have found this one eminently easy and enjoyable to read with Sanskrit, translation and Sri Swami Satchidananda's comments and additions. I would definately recommend this book to anyone on life's journey, regardless of an interest in yoga, Patanjali speaks to everyone, even after all these years, what he says is still relevent.
