I haven't read this text all the way through but it is suitable for just dipping in and out of - which is actually why I bought it. Stephen Mitchell's translation makes the text very accessable to all readers. You don't need to have a faith of any description to enjoy this book as it fulfils the brief of bringing a classic story to everyone and anyone. The language is beautiful and while I have very strong feelings that one shouldn't deface any book it is the kind of book that you need to read with a pencil in hand to underline any particularly relevant or striking phrases. So enjoy!
