Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series with Basia Lipska

Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series with Basia Lipska
Join Basia Lipska along with her students as she leads you through the Ashtanga Primary Series as taught at the KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India. Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic form of yoga that burns fat, detoxifies, strengthens and heals the body, offering inner peace, health and joy.

This is the first Polish and English Ashtanga DVD produced entirely in Poland, featuring practitioners of different levels. The audio track is ideal for developing one's daily Ashtanga practice, naming only the positions in Sanskrit and counting the inhalations and exhalations so you can focus exclusively on your breath during this moving meditation. It includes a commentary track where Basia offers additional guidance.

Enjoy this unique vinyasa yoga, designed to unite the body, mind and spirit.

Features:

- Basia freestyle
- Mysore style
- Ujjayi breathing
- Subtitles of sanskrit asana names
- Commentary tracks in Polish and English
- Chapter selection

A good film, a man and a woman makes the whole series, and sometimes whole team in the picture. I like most because everybody people not gurus, they do like normal people. Paschimattanasana is only a & b. One of the best DVDs primary series

I absolutely love this DVD. I was after an Ashtanga DVD which I could use and follow for my home daily practice, and this perfectly fitted my needs. I have used it regularly for the last few months. Basia's voice-over is simple - the sanskrit count and the sanskrit name for each posture - that's it. The count is nice and even (unlike another Ashtanga DVD I own). There is also a more guided playback of the full primary series on the DVD, though I haven't used that so I can't comment on how much each posture is explained. I would definitely recommend this DVD if you have at least a basic knowledge of the primary series and wish to enhance your home practice.
