Ruth Abela

Ruth Abela spent the first 11 years of her life in Malta; a beautiful Mediterranean archipelago; a lynchpin in antiquity. Her family moved to England in the 80s where she continued her education and thoroughly enjoyed her coastal education at the University of Portsmouth which saw her expand her breath; living in Oviedo, Spain and Merida, Mexico; using her Spanish skills which she still enjoys today. Apart from the two key muses; music and languages, Ruth has used her creative skills to design and produce handbags for select and bespoke oriented clients. When requested to produce signature evening bags, Ruth Abela carefully chooses the materials to match a specific item provided by the client, whether it is a shoe or a coat or gloves; her client is able to choose the outer material and inner lining. Ruth can then cater the design and bag around her client’s needs; forever sprinkling that uniqueness her clients clamour for. Having focused on evening bags and day bags for both male and female, she is now focusing on developing specialised sports bags, starting off with the Yoga Bag.
